Welcome to the Phoenix Adult Soccer League — the most fun, friendly, and fast‑growing adult coed soccer league in Phoenix. We host casual, competitive, and safety‑focused soccer games for players of all skill levels. After reading this page, you’ll know exactly how our free agent process, team placements, and game‑day flow work so you can jump in and start playing right away.
⭐ Soccer League Seasons And Structure:
Our Friday night adult coed soccer league runs year‑round with Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. Each season follows a nine‑week format: seven regular‑season games plus two weeks of playoffs. We typically build divisions of eight teams to keep things competitive, balanced, and fun.
Kickoff times are usually 6:20 PM and 8:10 PM, and every match features 40‑minute halves with a quick halftime to hydrate, regroup, and laugh about that one shot that went 20 yards over the bar.
⭐ Soccer Waiver:
We work hard to create a safe, enjoyable environment for all players — but soccer is a physical sport, and injuries can happen. That’s why every player must sign the PASL Liability Waiver before stepping onto the field. You can hand your signed waiver to a referee, a league assistant, or the league director.
⭐ Jersey Requirements:
Every team must have matching shirts with unique numbers. It keeps the games organized and helps referees track the action. Some teams sell their own jerseys, some include the cost in the player fee, and others may ask you to grab a league jersey. Your captain will let you know exactly what your team uses once you’re placed.
⭐ League Locations:
While most PASL games are played in Tempe, we also occasionally use fields in nearby cities to accommodate scheduling and field availability. This helps us serve players across the East Valley and boosts our visibility for local soccer searches.
Primary locations include:
Tempe Sports Complex
Benedict Sports Complex
Additional locations we may use at times include:
Chandler
Mesa
Scottsdale
Phoenix
Gilbert
All fields offer great lighting, easy parking, and the perfect atmosphere for Friday night adult soccer.
⭐ Coed Soccer Teams:
Our coed league is extremely popular, and we strive to maintain balanced rosters. It’s usually easy to place women on teams, but men often have better luck joining when they sign up with a female friend. Since this is a true coed soccer league, we need an equal number of men and women to keep the games fair and fun.
⭐ Slide Tackling:
This is a casual, recreational soccer league, and we want everyone heading into the weekend healthy and ready to celebrate. For safety, slide tackling is restricted in all PASL matches. Play smart, stay on your feet, and keep the vibes good.
⭐ Team Formation:
Getting placed as a free agent can be challenging — especially in a popular league like ours. To help, we occasionally form free agent teams made up entirely of individual players. These teams can feel a little chaotic at first, but give it time. Once everyone gels, they often become some of the most fun squads in the league.
⭐ Skill Level:
Our Friday night coed league welcomes both casual players and skilled players. You’ll see everything from beginners and weekend warriors to players who know how to thread through balls, make smart runs, and build real team chemistry. If you enjoy the game — whether you’re learning or leveling up — you’ll fit right in.
⭐ What To Bring To Your First Game:
Bring shin guards, soccer cleats (no metal studs), water, and a good attitude. You’ll also need a team jersey, which your captain will either provide or instruct you to purchase. We provide the field, the refs, and the fun — you bring the rest.
⭐ Substitutions:
We use rolling substitutions, managed by each team’s captain. Hop in, hop out — just be respectful and keep the game flowing.
⭐ Game Day Etiquette:
We’re all here to have fun. Respect your teammates, your opponents, and the referees. Celebrate the good plays, laugh off the bad ones, and remember — we all have work in the morning.
⭐ Referees:
Our Friday coed league uses a dual‑referee system with officials who have years of experience managing casual adult soccer matches. They’re human — they’ll miss a call here and there — but they do a solid job keeping games safe, fair, and enjoyable for everyone.
